How to categorize leads using lead stage & tags?
ReachBoost provides two ways to organize and categorize your leads:
- Tags – Custom labels that you create yourself.
- Lead Stages – Automatically assigned statuses based on lead engagement.
Using both together helps you better segment your database and create more targeted follow-up campaigns.
Using tags
Tags are fully customizable and can be used in any way that fits your workflow.
Examples include:
- Product A
- Product B
- Recruitment
- Sales
- Enterprise
- Existing customer
- Partner
- Event attendee
You can create as many tags as needed to organize your leads.
Where can you add tags?
Tags can be added from multiple places within ReachBoost:
- Unified Inbox
- Lead Lists
- Pipeline
- Campaigns
This makes it easy to categorize leads wherever you are working.
Example use cases
- Separate recruitment leads from sales leads.
- Categorize leads based on products or services.
- Build segmented audiences for future campaigns.
Using Lead Stages
Lead Stages indicate how engaged a lead is and help you prioritize follow-up activities.
By default, ReachBoost automatically classifies leads once they reply to your outreach.
Our AI assigns one of the following stages:
- Not Interested
- Engaged
- Interested
- Hot Lead
The classification is based on the content and intent of the conversation.
Additional Lead Stages
In addition to the AI classifications, ReachBoost also includes three manual sales stages:
- Meeting Booked
- Won
- Lost
These stages help you track leads further down the sales process.
Manually changing Lead Stages
You can manually update a lead's stage at any time.
Lead stages can be edited from:
- Unified Inbox
- Lead Lists
- Pipeline
- Campaigns
This allows you to override the AI classification whenever necessary.
Disable automatic AI Lead Stage Classification
If you prefer to manage lead stages manually, you can disable the automatic classification feature.
Step 1 - Open Settings
Go to Settings.
Step 2 - Open AI Lead Stage Classification
Locate the AI Lead Stage Classification setting.
Step 3 - Disable the feature
Turn off the automatic classification toggle.
Combining Tags and Lead Stages
Tags and Lead Stages work best when used together.
For example:
Lead | Tag | Lead Stage |
|---|---|---|
Agency prospect | Sales | Interested |
Candidate | Recruitment | Engaged |
Existing customer | Customer | Won |
This allows you to build highly targeted filters, reports, and follow-up campaigns.
