How to set-up the Native Integration with HubSpot?

Setting up the Native HubSpot integration takes two parts: connecting your HubSpot account, then configuring what syncs and when. This article walks through both.

Note: Enable "Enrich on push" so lead data is refreshed before it lands in HubSpot, keeping your CRM records current

Connecting to HubSpot

Before you can sync any leads, you need to authenticate your HubSpot account with ReachBoost.

Step 1 - Open the integrations page
Navigate to the integrations page and click "Connect" on the HubSpot card.

Step 2 - Log in to HubSpot
A window will open prompting you to log in. Complete the login steps, then select the HubSpot account you'd like to connect.

Step 3 - Confirm the connection
Confirm the connection on the next page. Once confirmed, your HubSpot connection is live.

Configure the integration

A live connection doesn't sync anything on its own — you also need to configure an integration on top of it. After connecting, you'll be redirected to the configuration page automatically. If you land elsewhere, go to your HubSpot connection and click "Configure integration."

Step 1 - Details
Fill in the integration's name and, optionally, a description. Then set:

  • HubSpot owner - the person marked as owner of any lead synced through this integration
  • Enrich on push - enriches leads before pushing them to HubSpot, so HubSpot data stays up to date
  • Events - the triggers that start a sync for a lead

The available events are:

  • Campaign events - Connection request sent, Connection request accepted, Connection request withdrawn, Follow up message sent, Message replied
  • Lead status events - Not interested, Engaged, Interested, Hot lead, Meeting booked, Won, Lost

Step 2 - Scope
Define the scope of the integration: a specific campaign, a specific LinkedIn account, or both. The integration only triggers when a selected event happens within that scope.

Note: Set up a separate integration per LinkedIn account to automatically link each one to the correct HubSpot owner

Step 3 - Mapping
This step is informative — it shows which ReachBoost fields populate which HubSpot fields. Connecting HubSpot creates three new properties there:

xx

xx

reachboost_lead_source

Always set to "ReachBoost"

reachboost_status

The lead's current stage

reachboost_tags

The tags on the lead

Beyond these fields, ReachBoost also logs notes in HubSpot for: lead stage changes, connection request sent/accepted/withdrawn, follow ups, replies, and inbox messages.
Finally, choose whether ReachBoost should update contact data in HubSpot for existing contacts. Leave this off and ReachBoost won't touch any contact fields on existing records.

When you're done, click "Activate" to make the integration live.

How syncing works

Once a lead meets your integration's criteria (the right event, within scope), the sync starts automatically. From that point on, it keeps syncing updates whenever a campaign event happens or something changes on the lead, like status or tags.
You can also sync a lead manually at any time: open the lead, click the three dots, and select "Sync to HubSpot."
