Connect your LinkedIn account

Before you can run any campaigns in ReachBoost, you need to connect at least one LinkedIn account. This is the account that will send connection requests and messages on your behalf.

Before you start

  • You need an active LinkedIn account (free or premium)
  • Have your LinkedIn email and password ready
  • If you have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled on LinkedIn, have your phone nearby

Steps

1. Go to LinkedIn accounts

In the left sidebar, click LinkedIn accounts.

2. Click Add account

In the top right of the page, click the Connect LinkedIn account button.

3. Enter your LinkedIn credentials

Enter the email address and password you use to log in to LinkedIn, then click Connect.

4. Complete two-factor authentication (if prompted)

There are a couple of ways that LinkedIn can send you a request to confirm your login - these can be either SMS, email code or even just a notification from your LinkedIn mobile app - so keep your phone handy.

5. Wait for the connection to confirm

ReachBoost will verify the connection. This usually takes a few seconds. Once confirmed, your account will appear in the LinkedIn accounts list.

Expected result

Your LinkedIn account appears in the list with:

  • Status: Connected
  • A warmup percentage (e.g. Warm up: 0% or whatever stage it's at)
  • 0 active campaigns (until you create one)

What happens next

Once connected, ReachBoost will automatically begin the warmup process for your account. You do not need to do anything - but you should read the warmup article before launching your first campaign.

Next step: Enable warmup (link to article 03)

If it didn't work

"Invalid credentials" error

Double-check your LinkedIn email and password. Try logging in to LinkedIn directly in your browser to confirm they work.

Stuck on the verification step

If the 2FA code expires, close the window and start the connection process again from step 2.

Account shows as Disconnected after connecting

This can happen if LinkedIn flagged the login as suspicious. Log in to LinkedIn directly, check for any security alerts, resolve them, then try reconnecting.

"Connection failed" with no clear error

If you see this error, close the connection window and try starting the process again from step 2.

Password changed

Whenever you change your LinkedIn password you will be automatically logged out of ReachBoost and would need to log back in with the new credentials.
